AMPA has a clear vision of being at the forefront of the arts education industry in Australia, and we are excited to announce that several major projects earmarked for 2014-2015 (as part of the AMPA Strategic Plan) are now coming to fruition.
The first of these projects to be announced is the introduction of new postgraduate courses at AMPA. The Master of Music and Graduate Diploma of Music will commence in 2014, and will allow graduate students an exceptional opportunity to enhance their understanding of music and specialise in a number of key professional areas. The courses will aim to increase students' breadth of knowledge in support of an active teaching career either in the private or government sector, at primary, secondary or tertiary level studio teaching, and will also assist experienced and advanced practitioners who, having achieved distinguished professional careers in the public arena, can derive further knowledge from a music related academic and research environment. The courses will also assist musicians in industry specific areas of performance, composition and song writing, studio teaching, and music retail and distribution.
We look forward to introducing these pivotal new courses in 2014, and please stay tuned for further announcements on the latest developments at AMPA.
